embrace the camera: Disney here we come!

Today is the day we leave for Disney World. We are driving and leaving about 4:00. Gigi and I have been running errands, baking cookies and watching Jungle Book. I was suppose to keep Gigi awake but dreams of Princesses, Minnie Mouse and the beautiful castle have overcome my attempts at keeping her up. Oh well a little surprise of Aladdin the movie for Gigi and a Wiggles DVD for Addi might help pass the time in the car. So Disney here we come!!!

Some more Easter Crafts

There are so many cute Easter Crafts out there. I have almost got my Easter display done. My diarama and stuffed Easter Bunny came from Martha Stewart's Easter crafts. The button egg picture was seen on a blog. I love these and they were so easy and so cute.

Is it fall or is it spring?

Today John decided to rake the rest of the leaves from the fall and Gigi was very excited to help him. She was so funny. She wanted me to help also. She loved the leaf blower and wanted to know if Daddy had one. She wanted to try everything, raking and the leaf hands.

Today I got to spend the day with Addi and Gigi. I wasn't sure what we were going to do so I thought we should go to the mall, play a little, eat a little, shop a little and see what we find. They were so good. Gigi loves to shop/play. Addi is always happy but happier with a sucker. Then we came home and played outside for a while. We had a very nice day.

John and I are as different as day and night but we have a good time with our families. We have a lot of fun with our grandbabies and on family vacations. We really enjoy coming up with games and activities at Christmas and the other holidays. I thought I would share some fun pictures of Papa and Mimi (John and I).

I've been trying to work on some Easter decorations but I had to throw in a little gift for the grandbabies and the girls who work for me for St. Patrick's Day. Check it out.

I thought this week I would celebrate "embrace the camera" with my grandbabies. They are so much fun and make my day everyday whether with a funny story, a hug and kiss or just a question. They each have such completely different personalities but are all such blessings from God and starting almost 6 years ago (in May) there is no word more special to me than "MIMI".

Treats for my friend Dawn!

I saw two fun idea's that I thought would be nice for my friend Dawn and her family. The first was an awesome idea from Little Things Bring Smiles, they are called Book Letters. As soon as I saw it I knew it was a perfect gift for my friend who is an avid reader and you can visit her blog at http://www.ieatbooksforbreakfast.blogspot.com/. I made her the "D" from a paperback book that I happened to have two copies. It is hard for me to cut a book because I've always believed you don't write in, bend corners or throw away books. But I got through it. I think it turned out pretty good for my first time. Not as good as Little Things but I hope Dawn likes it.

Now to make it more fun, I did the Ding Dong Dinged by giving the family a box of Ding Dongs ringing the door bell and running. I saw this on eighteen 25. But to my surprise no one was home. So I texted her to tell her there were two gifts on the porch for her. I hope she got them and not the neighbors!

Our New Baby Delainey Marie is here!

On March 1st Baby Delainey Marie Dallner was born. She is a precious 7 lb. 15 oz baby of joy. I'm so happy for Missy and Andy and her big sister Molly. We are so blessed to have her join our family. We love you Baby Delainey.
