Dinner and art, what more could you want

On Sunday night 5 of us girls went to The Propylaeum for dinner and a painting class.  Heather, Kristen, Nicole, Andrea and I had so much fun.  We were surprised at how many men were actually at the class.  We started off with dinner and then on to painting.  We are not sure we are artists but we had a great time.

 Our week started with Miss Delainey's first birthday party.

Her first ice cream cone!

She loved her first ice cream.

 She couldn't get enough. 

And then it started to melt and she started to fling it around.    So........

 Mommy took it away!

And that broke her heart!  Mean Mommy!  :)  But in just a few minutes she found out that she really liked the sugar wafer.  

And then it was time for cake

 she was almost asleep and then she realized how good cake is

 She really liked it.  

We all had the camera's ready and the pictures didn't disappoint.

 This is one of the prettiest parties I have ever seen.   The pink was just so beautiful. 

 The candy was a very big temptation.

I don't have a lot of pictures.  But I did buy some cans for the food drive.  I will take them over to the food pantry Monday.  I'm leaving for St. Louis tomorrow so I won't get it done.   So I'm going to show those pictures of the week.

Who can save the tree's? The Lorax

Andrea, Gigi and I went to see The Lorax on Sunday evening.  It was so cute.  I love Dr. Seuss.  I love the colors and characters.

Then we went out to eat at The Monon Food Company.  We had chips and salsa and humus and pita's.  It was delicious.  We had such a fun time.  As soon as we walked in Gigi saw that they had pictures colored by "kids" and were hanging up.  Gigi ask right away if she could have one.  She colored it and ask for our help until it was finished.  And then as soon as the waitress came to ask us if we needed anything else, she handed the picture to her.  She said that is pretty.  Gigi just kept handing it to her.  Finally I said I think she wants you to hang it up.  So she took it and hung it up on their podium.  Gigi was so proud.  Fun Times.

Reading books - The Simple Things

 Every day when I pick Gigi up the only thing she wants to do is read books.  We got to the point where I had read every book I have so many times I decided we needed to go to the library.   So now we visit the library once a week.  Today I found two more Fancy Nancy books that I had to purchase (purchase is a fancy word for buy :).  Fancy Nancy is my favorite.  These Simple Things make my days special.
