On Tuesday Missy will have our new baby girl. Our family is so excited to meet her. It has been a long journey for Missy and Andy and I'm so proud of them. This is our special gift from God as they all are but we are very thankful that she will be here and a part of our family. Can't wait to meet you Baby D!

Gigi and Addi's night at Mimi's
Andrea and Baron went downtown for the night so Addi and Gigi spent the night with us. Of course, we had to do a craft. The choice tonight was rock animals. We didn't get them finished because the paint had to dry and then we added a second coat. Then we watched "Yummy Yummy" and "Snow White." Then this morning we had a rousing game of "5 Little Monkey's jumping on the bed". It is always a fun time with our grandbabies.

SPRING blocks - wishful thinking?
I've seen these blocks done on other blogs and I think they are so cute. I wanted to do them for Valentine's Day but time got away from me. And I think I can actually use the SPRING blocks longer.
My nice neighbor cut these 4" blocks for me from a 2 X 4.
I used white paint to make a base (on sale this week at Michaels for $ .33)
Then I painted over the white with spring colors.
As soon as I painted the spring colors I wiped them down with a paper towel.
Then I used stencils to draw the letters on.
Then I painted the letters with white paint.
Let dry and my SPRING blocks were done.
I love them.

embrace the camera: and Happy Birthday Baron
My Mom, Me and Andrea embracing the camera!
Happy Birthday to Daddy Baron!
Today was Baron's 34th birthday. We met at BW3's for his dinner. My mom, Andrea and I took this picture for embrace the camera. Baron had 12 wings, beer and his favorite Dairy Queen ice cream cake. Mom, John and I got him a gift certificate for a golf course in Hilton Head. So I think he had a nice birthday. Gigi thought it was her and Baron's birthday. She told us all we had to sing for her. She also said that we couldn't have a party without hats. We messed up! Ha! Baron have a great year!!!
Check out Emily to see who is embracing the camera!
More of my Easter Crafts
I love this "leafy green" basket. I saw it on Martha Stewart's Easter baskets. It was so easy just a basket, some silk leaves (from Michaels), some pretty ribbon and hot glue and waalaa it is perfect to display some eggs.
Then I wanted something springy for my door and did this wreath in a wreath with a C for our last name.

Beginning my Easter decorations
I've been looking through Martha Stewart's Easter idea's along with some other websites and got the idea for these beautiful wooden eggs. I used the following supplies:
4 wooded eggs - Michaels
Folk Art Plum metallic paint - Michaels
little white flowers - Dollar Store
hot glue gun/hot glue
spanish moss - Dollar Store
glass dish - Dollar Store
This beautiful nest would be the pride of any birdie!
Gnomeo and Juliet
Gigi and I went to see Gnomeo and Juliet on our Presidents Day. I was off work and Miss Gigi spent the day with me. She looked so cute in her Gnome dress. We had lunch at Qdoba (my favorite lunch spot). Then when we got to the theater we were next in line to get our tickets and they sold out. So we bought tickets for the next time slot and went to the Dollar Store and Michaels. We had a fun day.

The taggy blanket for our new little one
I wanted to try to make one of these taggy blankets for Missy's new little one that will be born in only 1 1/2 weeks. I saw this on Crafting Chicks and wanted to try to make one. It is so soft and I hope she (we don't know the name yet) will like it. The Chicks were right I have enough supplies to make two more. So check it out it didn't take long to make it.

embrace the camera: February 17th
I decided to start the "embrace the camera". Today I had Miss Gigi and she, as always, was cracking me up. She decided to wear my red high heels. She is constantly moving so I was lucky to get the pictures. I loved playing dress up when I was young and I thought this was really cute.
Check out Emily's blog and see her embrace the camera.

Happy Valentines Day
Well as always we celebrated Valentine's Day in two days instead of one. We celebrated at Missy's with some gift giving and then a breakfast at Eckert's Farm. It was so much fun. We had a great breakfast and then the kids got to do some fun crafts. I made Missy and Andy and Baron and Andrea these picture frames that are my favorite. They are called photo trays. I got the idea on archiversoline.com/trays. Take a look. The kids seemed to love them.
