We had another great Christmas. But how could we not with such a great family. We had a nice get together Christmas Eve with our family and the unveiling of John's skaters a new addition to his exterior illumination. Then Christmas morning G-ma came over for breakfast and Missy treated with her breakfast casserole. Then we began the night with gifts and broke for dinner and then on with more gifts. Then to end the night we had a version of John and Deniece's favorite things (sorry Oprah we borrowed your idea). It was a fun time but I want to say how thankful I am to have such an amazing family. I am so blessed.

Happy Anniversay Andrea and Baron
Andrea and Baron went out to dinner tonight for their 6th anniversary. And we got to babysit for Addi and Gigi. As always we watched lots of Wiggles and Doodlebops. But I found some really great girly toys at a garage sale. A Barbie Dream House and a stroller and high chair. Gigi was having lots of fun with those. Then as the night went on we did lots of laying down and wrestling. Happy Anniversay Andrea and Baren and thanks for letting us watch the kiddies!

The circus and a little fun outside
Missy and Molly came to visit this weekend and we all went to the circus. The kids loved it. They especially liked the popcorn. Then Missy and I babysit for the three babies and had a fun evening. We ate pizza, made cookies and played outside. Mimi needs more outdoor play things. But we made do by sharing the swing, slide and the flowers.

Labor Day Weekend - Not much going on
Well we had big plans for the weekend but the rain changed that for Sunday. We had plans to go to the Canal and have a picnic and rent a Surrey. But Addi was not feeling well and the rain stopped the picnic at the Canal. So Andrea and Baron and the kids came over for lunch and stayed for a little while. I gave Addi and Gigi some surprises I had bought for them to play with when they are at my house. Addi got a big Wiggles coloring book that he seemed to like. Gigi got a Barbie and a car. She decided to give them a rest in the strainer. I got out a new Barbie comforter that I bought and Gigi really liked laying on it. On Saturday night, I went over to Andrea and Baron's and we went out to dinner. The kids were so funny. We ate at On The Border and had a small accident with some salsa. But the funny story about it was worth the mess. Gotta love those special times.

The Wiggles
Addi, Gigi, Andrea, Baron and I went to see The Wiggles on Friday night. It was a great show and the kids were mesmerized. Until Wags the Dog's song started and then Addi was up break dancing. Gigi hugged her new Dorothy stuffed blanket when Dorothy sang. It was a great night and we got some really great pictures.

Another evening with Addi and Gigi
We went to eat with Andrea and Baron and the kids on one of John's birthday gift certificates. As always it is good to see them and today was especially good because Addi had a great day at school. He was excited and I talked Andrea and Baron in to letting them come over for a few minutes to play in the back yard. Gigi loves playing with the monkey's from John's party. She saw that one was still hanging in the tree. Addi is so tall he is in the tree! But as summer goes we had to come in and watch The Wiggles because we were getting bit by mosquitos.

John turns the big 5 0
Well after planning his birthday party for about 2 months the big day was a success. With over 64 people and one fat dog celebrating, John had a great time. The backyard was turned into a Hawaiin Luau with lots of food, margarita's, music and decorations. The guests ate and were served from the Tiki bar by Bartender Andy. We had a game where John picked two teams, Viagra and Cialis, and they had to run down and put on clothes and come back and put the clothes on the next team member and run down for the next article of clothing. It was fun to watch and the team that ended with a "leg up" was Viagra. They received lottery tickets. John was roasted by Scott Klein reminising about high school pranks and all the food John eats. He presented John with a taco from Taco Bell, hamburger from Hardees and one from McDonalds. And of course ended his roast with a bottle of Jack Daniels remembering those before 21 Jack Daniels nights. Another special gift was one given by Johnny George, John's mentor when he DJ'd. Johnny gave John two CD's of John's radio show from the 80's and 90's. John was very touched by the cards and gifts he received by many of the friends, family and co-workers that were in attendance. All in all the night was everything John wanted. He had a great time.
